How big are the drops, are they suitable for those with swallowing difficulties?

We do not currently recommend Jelly Drops to people with swallowing difficulties or suspected swallowing difficulties. If you have concerns, please consult a Speech and Language Therapist prior to use.

Jelly Drops are soft, denture-friendly and easy to chew, similar to a traditional jelly, but do not melt, dissolve or bust as you might expect. This means they must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing.

The IDDSI Framework provides a common terminology to describe food textures and drink thickness as a way to improve safety for individuals with swallowing difficulties. Independent Speech and Language Therapists have assessed Jelly Drops to be level 7 under this framework.
